Dr. Brid Walsh

Dr. Brid Walsh graduated in 2008 after studying medicine at University College, Dublin.  After completing her internship she undertook higher specialist medical training in the Mater Misericordale Dublin working in a diverse range of posts from A & E to nephrology to oncology and haematology.

Following this she undertook a year long post in a busy inner city psychiatric hospital – St. Vincents Hospital in Fairview, Dublin.  In 2011, she returned home to Kerry and begun a four year specialist training in general practice on the South West General Practice Scheme.  During this time she gained vast experience in medical care, general and geriatric care, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and psychiatry.  She also obtained specialist training certificates in surgical skills and contraception.

In 2015 she completed her higher specialist training in general practice and joined Clanmaurice Medical Practice in 2015.

She  has a keen interest in paediatrics, contraception and minor surgery.
